On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff at the Saskatchewan Arts Alliance, we wish you a happy holiday season and much success in the New Year! The office will be closed from December 24th to January 4th, 2013.

CREATIVE INDUSTRIES CONSULTATION FINAL REPORT RELEASED
The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport released Moving Saskatchewan’s Creative Industries Forward Consultation Final Report; a summary of the consultations the Ministry conducted this past summer and fall. The report will be “used as the basis for continued discussions with industry leaders … and to help inform the development of a new commercial model for Saskatchewan’s creative industries”. More information is available on the Ministry website.

KELLY HILL TO PRESENT ON THE STATE OF SASKATCHEWAN’S ARTS SECTOR
Kelly Hill, President and Founder of Hill Strategies Research Inc. is coming to Regina to present on the arts sector (including the cultural industries) in Saskatchewan with analysis of current information, comparison of Saskatchewan data to Canada, and projected trends. This event will include focus groups on the Arts Ecology project. The presentation will be held in March of 2013, further details are forthcoming.

The Artist Registry is ongoing; please encourage your members to sign in. The registry will be kept confidential, for SAA arts research purposes only. The SAA believes that research on the Saskatchewan arts sector is important to helping us advance the arts in Saskatchewan. By registering your name, you will help strengthen our work.
