2014 Arts Congress

Highlights

Join us in the discussions of resilience, risk taking, and engagement. This event is a great opportunity to meet Saskatchewan artists, arts administrators, patrons, presenters and those who just appreciate the arts in all its disciplines.

This year, the Congress takes place in Saskatoon on May 2nd and 3rd at St. Andrew’s College in the Main Lounge on College Drive.  We are pleased to announce keynote speakers Michael Greyeyes, nationally recognized actor, choreographer, and director; Carolyne Warren, Vice President Arts for the Banff Centre; Larbi Zadiki, professor at the University of Qatar and series editor of Routledge Studies of Middle Eastern Democratization and Government; and well-known Saskatchewan authors Jan Martel and Alice Kuipers.

Other Congress highlights include the popular “Stories from the Art” in which artists tell the stories of their lives and work, and “Conversations on Valuing the Arts in the Community” with Honourable Kevin Doherty, Minister of Parks, Culture and Sport.
