This report aims to assess the effect of the Irish Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon and the Arts Council of Northern Irelands’ policies on the professional formation and career path of the individual artist, and to assist the Councils in ascertaining the most appropriate models and mechanisms for supporting the artist. This research formed the basis of the report ‘The Creative Imperative’.
